1. Introduction
Lit IPTV ("we", "our", "us") is published by Lit Publishing. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Lit IPTV application ("App") on any platform (iOS, Android, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV).
Lit IPTV is a media player only. We do not provide, host, stream, or distribute any TV channels, video content, or media files. Users must supply their own IPTV playlists (M3U, M3U8, or Xtream Codes) from a legally authorized IPTV service provider. We are not affiliated with any content provider and do not endorse or facilitate access to unauthorized or pirated content.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Playlist data — M3U/M3U8 URLs, Xtream Codes credentials (server URL, username, password), and channel lists
- EPG data — Electronic program guide XML/XMLTV URLs and cached guide data
- Favorites & history — Your saved channels, recently watched list, and custom channel groups
- App settings — Player preferences, theme, parental control PIN, and other configuration
- Recordings — Any locally recorded content remains on your device storage
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
We collect limited, anonymized data through third-party services to improve app quality:
- Device information — Device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and language settings
- App usage analytics — Feature usage frequency, session duration, and navigation patterns (anonymized, no channel/content data)
- Crash reports — Stack traces, device state at time of crash, and app version to diagnose and fix bugs
- Advertising identifiers — IDFA (iOS) or Advertising ID (Android) for ad personalization, subject to your consent
- IP address — Collected by third-party services (Firebase, AdMob) for approximate location and fraud prevention; we do not store or process IP addresses ourselves
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact details
- Your IPTV playlist URLs, Xtream Codes credentials, or server information
- What channels, shows, or content you watch
- Your viewing history or habits
- Payment card numbers or banking information (handled entirely by Apple/Google)
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
3.1 Firebase (Google)
We use several Firebase services provided by Google LLC:
- Firebase Analytics — Collects anonymous usage data (events, sessions, demographics) to help us understand how features are used. Data is processed in the United States. Firebase Privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics — Collects anonymous crash reports including device state, stack traces, and app version to help us fix bugs. Crashlytics Terms
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — Delivers push notifications. Processes a device token identifier; no personal data is sent through notifications.
- Firebase Authentication — Used for anonymous authentication only. No email or personal credentials are collected. A random anonymous user ID is generated.
- Firebase Realtime Database — May store anonymized, non-personal app configuration and subscription verification data. No playlist, credential, or viewing data is stored.

3.2 Google AdMob
The free version of the App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or contextual ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable tracking for Lit IPTV
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

3.3 Apple App Store & Google Play Store
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive, process, or store your payment card information, billing address, or financial details. Subscription status is verified through Apple/Google receipt validation only.

4. How We Use Information
The limited, anonymized information we collect is used to:
- Improve app performance, stability, and features
- Identify and fix bugs and crashes
- Understand which features are popular to guide development
- Display advertisements in the free version
- Verify subscription status
- Send push notifications (if you opt in)
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with:
- Service providers — Third-party services listed in Section 3, strictly for the purposes described
- Legal requirements — If required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Safety & fraud prevention — To protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud
- Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to users
6. Data Retention
- Local data — Stored on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App
- Analytics data — Firebase Analytics retains data for up to 14 months, then automatically deletes it
- Crash data — Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports for 90 days
- Ad identifiers — Managed by Google AdMob per their retention policies
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we process. All data transmitted to Firebase and AdMob uses TLS/SSL encryption. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
8.1 All Users
- Delete local data — Clear app data or uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored data
- Opt out of ads personalization — Use your device settings as described in Section 3.2
- Disable analytics — You may opt out of Firebase Analytics data collection in the App settings
- Manage notifications — Enable or disable push notifications in your device settings
8.2 European Economic Area (EEA) Users — GDPR
If you are located in the EEA, you have the following additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to data portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to restrict processing — Request limitation of data processing
- Right to object — Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@litiptv.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Legal basis for processing: We process data based on (a) your consent for personalized advertising, (b) legitimate interests for analytics and crash reporting, and (c) contractual necessity for subscription verification.
8.3 California Users — CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights
9. Children's Privacy
Lit IPTV is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@litiptv.com and we will promptly delete such information.
10. International Data Transfers
Data collected by Firebase and AdMob may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates. These transfers are governed by Google's data processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for EEA users.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
